Biography

Oscar Lee Hext was born on 8 September 1888 in Hackberry, Edwards, Texas, United States, son of Lawrence Lee Hext (1867–1933) and Martha Ann Croom (1869–1895).[1]

On 21 November 1909, Oscar (21) married Maude Pearl McCurdy (17) (born on 23 September 1892 in Hackberry, Edwards, Texas, United States; daughter of Samuel Stephen McCurdy and Louisa Elizabeth (Hicks) McCurdy) in Hackberry, Edwards, Texas, United States. Their daughter was Morine Leola Hext (14 July 1912 – 3 September 1987).

In 1910, Oscar (21) was living in Justice Precinct 3, Edwards, Texas, United States. [2]

Oscar registered for the draft for World War I. [3]

In 1930, Oscar (41) was living in Duncan, Greenlee, Arizona, United States.[2]

Oscar died on 24 April 1937 in Lordsburg, Hidalgo, New Mexico, United States, aged 48. He was buried in Duncan Valley Cemetery, Duncan, Greenlee County, Arizona.[4] [1]
