George, son of John Hewlett & Elizabeth Aldridge, was baptised on 5 November 1848 in Chew-Magna, Somerset, England.^[1]

In the 1851 census George (age 3) was the son of John Hewlett in Chew Magna, Somerset, England.^[2]

George first married Priscilla Robins (Roberts) in 1868 in the Crickhowell district.^[3]

First Marriage: In the 1871 census George (age 22) was the head of household in Llangattock, Breconshire, Wales.^[4]

Priscilla's death (age 27) was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1877 in the Crickhowell district.^[5]

Second Marriage: Margaret Evans. They married on 5 October 1878 at Crickhowell. ^[6]

George arrived on 5 April 1879^[7]
