Biography
Charles Hewett, was the son of Edward Hewett and Amelia (Eling) Hewett; he was born on the 4th of September 1856 and baptised on the 28th of September 1856 in Cuddalore. His father, Edward, was Sergent Major of hte 48th M.N.I.[1]
Sadly, Charles died on the 23rd of April 1864 and was buried next day in Kamptee. He was noted as 7y 7m old; cuase: spasmodic cholera, son of Edward Hewett Cantonment Sergent Major.[2][3]
