Biography

Robert Blakely Hess was born on December 11, 1894 in Momence, Kankakee, Illinois, United States, son of Walter Blakely Hess (1852–1918) and Eliza Jane Burton (1860–1938).

Robert died on December 19, 1964 in Minnesota, United States, aged 70.


In the 1900 census Robert B Hess, a 5-year-old boy, was born in December 1894 in Illinois, USA. Robert resided with his family in Momence, Kankakee, Illinois, specifically on Range St Block 34, House Number 8. The household was listed as dwelling number 340 and family number 340 on sheet number 15. Robert was the son of Walter B Hess, a 47-year-old man born in Illinois, and Eliza J Hess, a 40-year-old woman born in Kentucky. Robert had two older brothers named Pleasant H Hess, aged 13, and Earl Hess, aged 12. As a white male, Robert was single and could speak English.
