Isabella B. Henning was born on 8 June 1834 in Ithaca, New York to parents George Henning and Isabella Campbell Boggs.

In 1855, Isabella studied at Lawrence College in Wisconsin.[1]

On 3 March 1856, Isabella marries John Lewis Thompson in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Isabella is 22-years-old.[2]

On 18 December 1856, Isabella and John welcome firstborn son, George Louis Thompson.

In November 1858, Isabella and John welcome son, James S. Thompson.

At the 1860 Census, 26-year-old Isabella lives with her husband, two children, and two laborers in Lancaster Township, Kansas. Isabella's husband works as a farmer to support the family:[3]

On 29 October 1932, Isabella passes away from burns as a result of a house fire. She was 98-years-old. She is buried in Granite Hill Cemetery in Grants Pass, Oregon; Plot S/56/L4-5.[9][10]
