Biography
Dorothy LaVaughn Hemken was born on 13 Jul 1925 in Montgomery Co., Illinois as the fourth child of William Hemken Hemken-47 and Lillie Belle Kitchen Kitchen-755. She had four siblings, namely: Mary Alice, Elizabeth, Charles L., and Kenneth. When she was 15, she married Charles Leroy File File-266, son of Roy Victor File File-263 and Sarah E. Compton Compton-1671, on 25 Mar 1941 in Walshville, Montgomery Co., Illinois. They had four children. Charles died in 1980. When she was 63, Dorothy married Charles Scott Scott-15142 on 04 Nov 1988.
Dorothy lived in Grisham, Montgomery, Illinois in 1930 (Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Daughter). She was not located in the census in 1940.
Dorothy died on 22 Mar 2012 in Lebanon, St Clair Co., Illinois. She was buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento, Bond Co., Illinois.
