Here are tools created by independent developers for the community. The two most essential are the integrated Tree Apps and the WikiTree Browser Extension.

Web Apps
Apps may require you to login to apps.wikitree.com in addition to www.wikitree.com. This is for security and privacy. Your password is not shared with the app developer and private family profiles are only accessible while you are logged-in.
Many apps for viewing genealogy are currently being integrated into the Tree Apps, an interconnected set of tree views.
Apps for researching and editing are being integrated into the collaborative WikiTree Browser Extension.
