HEISLER, Roland Peter (age 85) passed away November 12, 2007 at his home in Colfax, WA. He was born January 29, 1922 in Spokane, WA to Peter and Marie Petrus Heisler.

He graduated from Rogers High School of Spokane in 1940. Roland attended Kinimann Business School and Bible College while living in California. He entered the U.S. Army, serving during WWII from 1942 until 1945. Following an honorable discharge, he returned to Colfax. He married Patricia A. Olfs on August 13, 1950 in Colfax. Roland started his career with the Washington State Highway Department, retiring in 1977. He worked harvests, driving trucks and drove a school bus until he was 70 years old. Roland was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Heisler of Colfax and his two daughters, Ruth Heisler of Colfax and Marie Heisler of Genesee, ID. Roland is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Heisler (2004); two infant sons, John and James; a brother, Pete and his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 16, 2007 at 1 PM at the First Baptist Church in Colfax, WA. A Family Inurnment will take place at the Colfax Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission or to the Friends of Hospice. Bruning Funeral Home, Colfax, WA is caring for the family. ^[1]
