Susannah was born in 1778. She passed away in 1881.
John Steffy (October 1766 – 26 October 1823) (FamilySearch LTQ8-M82) and Susannah Heisler (1778 – 30 March 1881) founded the earliest settlement of Steffys in Indiana County (the Brush Valley Steffys), though other Steffys not descended from them would arrive in other parts of Indiana County at a later date.[1]
John's only census in Indiana County is the 1820: 1820 Wheatfield, Indiana Col. PA – John Stiffy and wife 45+, 3 boys 10-15 (Jacob 1804, Philip 1806), 1 girl 10-15 (Maria 1808), 4 boys under 4 (David 1812, William 1812, Jonas 1815), 1 girl under 10. Gone from the household: John 1801, Margaret 1802.[1]
