Marion Columbus Hedgepeth, also known as the Handsome Bandit, the Debonair Bandit, the Derby Kid and the Montana Bandit, was a famous Wild West outlaw. He was born in October 1864 in Missouri to John Henry Hedgepeth and Sallie Cotton. [1][2]
Shot by police officer Edward Jaburek during a robbery in Chicago 31 Dec 1909. He died at St. Anthony's Hospital and was buried in the Cook County Cemetery on the grounds of the Cook County Poor Farm at Dunning.[3][4]
