Biography

Elizabeth married her first cousin Francis William Drake, son of Francis Drake and his wife, Anne Heathcote, in 1763.^[1] The bond for the marriage had been signed on 11 November 1763^[2] and they were married the next day at St James, Westminster.^[3] (History of Parliament erroneously gives the date as 3 November 1763.^[4]) The marriage was conducted by her brother Rev. Henry Heathcote, and was witnessed by Gilbert Heathcote and Sophia Drake.

They were grandchildren of Samuel Heathcote and his wife, Mary Dawsonne.
