Biography
There is a marriage license in Harford County, Maryland dated 20 May 1802. There is no direct evidence that Sarah and Richard are the parents of Hester, but there is indirect evidence that they are more than likely her parents. Sarah applied for a bounty land warrant under the pension act of 1855 in which she was granted 120 acres. During this time she was residing with her son Lewis King. Family Search lists Sarah's birth in 1770. Ancestry Family trees list Sarah's birth in 1771.
