Biography

John Robert Hazley is a part of US Black heritage.

John Robert was born in 1910. He was the son of John Lawson Hazley and Emma Peters. ^[1]

John was a teacher and administrator for Texas public schools. He was a graduate of Tuskegee Institute. He was a member of a Prince Hall lodge and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.^[2]

In the 1920 census John (age 9) was the son of John Hazley in Justice Precinct 3, Washington, Texas.^[3]

In the 1930 census Jonnie (age 19), Porter, was the single son of J L Hazley at 903 E Camal, Austin, Travis, Texas, United States.^[4]

John died on 5 March 1998 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Austin, Travis County, Texas, United States.^[5] He was survived by his wife Ethel Rose and a sister.^[2]
