"FUNERAL RITES TO BE THURSDAY
Mrs. H. E. Ford to Be Buried at Walker; Service Here
Funeral services for Mrs. H. E. Ford, 1617 Washington avenue northwest, will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday forenoon at the First Methodist church. The body will be taken from the Randall funeral home to lie in state at the church from 9 o'clock until service time. The Rev. William H. Spence will be in charge.
Following the short services at the church, the body will be taken overland to Walker where a service will be held at the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. C.H. Hawn of Masonville, a cousin of Mrs. Ford, in charge. Six nephews will act as pallbearers. Burial will be at Walker.
Mrs. Ford, formerly Ocea B. Hayzlett, was born at Troy Mills, March 10, 1870. She attended Cornell college and taught school until her marriage to Mr. Ford in 1891. She had been a practical nurse for years.
She was a member of the Queen Rebekah lodge, the American Legion auxiliary and the auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the Wesley Sunday school class of the First Methodist church.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband, a son, William, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles McMann. Two sons, Harry, who died in infancy, and Harold, who died in 1920, preceded Mrs. Ford in death.
Mrs. Ford is also survived by a brother, G.A. Hayzlett, Independence, and a sister, Mrs. William Todd, Urbann, and two grandchildren, Erma May and Mary Belle Bullard.
Mrs. Ford died Monday afternoon."
