Research Notes

Uncertain who Charlie's parents were. Tentatively linking him as George Witherby Hayes' son for now. He's definitely the grandchild of Louisa and James Hay(e)s. Could be George's brother James' child, the child of one of the unmarried sisters or even Ella's child and the boys took on the Hayes name when their grandmother took them in.

He lists his father from Ohio and his mother from Michigan. George was, as far as I can tell so far, the only one of James' kids born in Ohio.
