Biography
Noah Haydon was born in Kentucky.
Birth and Parents
Noah, the thirteenth of fourteen children of John Haydon (1728-1801) and Lucy Morton (1745-1811) was born on 16 February 1789 Midway, Kentucky.
Marriages and Children
Noah married Nancy Mitchum (1792-1834), the daughter of James Dudley and Susan (Allen) Mitchum on 28 September 1812 at Woodford, Kentucky.[1]They had two children born at Kentucky:
- Mary L. Haydon (b. 1813; d. 1892) m. Sept 1828 at Cincinatti, OH, Samuel G. Henry (1805-1889)
- Susan Anne Haydon (b. 1818; d. 1908, Versailles, KY) m. William Gray Stone (1840-1883)
- Lucy Elizabeth Haydon (b. 1819; d. 1898) m. 24 Oct 1837 at Jefferson, KY, Thomas Newton Gaines (1814-1876)[2]
Death and Burial
Noah Haydon died on 16 June 1861 in his 72nd year at Louisville, and is buried in Mitchum Family Cemetery at Woodford County, Kentucky.[3]
