Biography

John H Hayden was born in 1839^[1] in Maine. He was the son of Charles Henry Hayden and Catherine Elliot Pattangall. He lived with his parent's in Pembroke, Washington, Maine, where his father was a Trader.^[2]

He married Mary Eilza Dyer on November 23, 1863 in Eastport, Washington, Maine.^[3] She was of Belfast; he of Pembroke. The couple had 3 children.

2. John Charles Hayden (1866-1929)^[5]
3. Katherine Eliot "Kate" (Hayden) Ford (abt.1876-1915)^[6]

They lived in Eastport, Washington, Masschusetts in 1870, where John was a Grocer, and Mary with the help of a Domestic Servant, was taking careof the home and children,'Lucy-5, and John C-3.^[7]

In 1880, they lived in the home of Mary's Mother, Lucy W Dyer-69, with their 3 children, Lucy-15, John-13, and Kate-3.^[8]

John died at the age of 59, on April 8, 1898 in Tacoma, Washington,^[9] and was buried in the Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington.^[1]
