Ila Lou Hawks Mickey, 95, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 25, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Mickey; son, Jimmy G. Mickey, and daughter, Jerrie M. Funk. Mrs. Mickey was a longtime member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God/Life Church. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda M. Clasbey and husband Dennis, Roanoke; son, Bob Mickey and wife Sybil, Vinton; grandchildren, Shannon Clasbey Boothe, Lori Clasbey Blankenship, Amy Mickey Proffitt, Leigh Mickey Spangler, April Mickey Lundy, Michael Mickey; 14 greatgrandchildren; 1 great-greatgrandchild; sister, Velma Haynes, Mt. Airy, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews and her church family at Life Church. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Life Church with Pastor Joe Copolo officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Life Church, 7422 Deer Branch Rd., Roanoke, Va., 24019. Arrangements by Oakeys Vinton Chapel.^[8]
