Rutger Oelsen Hauer (born 23 January 1944) was a Dutch actor, writer, and environmentalist. He acted in both Dutch and English-language TV series and films, probably best known for his role as the Replicant nemesis of Harrison Ford in Blade Runner.

By his first wife Hester Metz, they married 18-08-1966[1], he has one child born in 1966, actress Aysha Hauer.

We plan on featuring Rutger alongside Ingrid Bergman, the Example Profile of the Week, in the Connection finder on February 24th. Between now and then is a good time to take a look at the sources and biography to see if there are updates and improvements that need made, especially those that will bring it up to WikiTree Style Guide standards. We know it's short notice, so don't fret too much. Just do what you can. A Team member will check on the profile Tuesday and make changes as necessary.
Thanks! Abby
I found the birth announcement from the newspaper in The Netherlands. It is just a small one. I can upload the image to the profile if you like and also add it to the biography if you like.
I also found the civil registration card Image 96! of his father Arend in Amsterdam with the marriage date of Rutger, with his first Swiss wife Heidi Metz in 1966 if you scroll down you will find it.
Later I saw Jan Terink already added that to the G2G post. At least that is a reliable source. It is hard to find more as the archives in The Netherlands are accessible before 1920 and back in time.......... But I will see what else there is to find.
His IMDb profile is here.
