Biography

Lulu (Hatton) Slater was born in Warrington, Lancashire, England.

Louisa Hatton was born on 22 January 1905 ^[1] in Warrington, Lancashire, England. ^[2]

She was the second oldest of 8 children born to Joseph Hatton and Letitia Hunt. She was baptised on 12 February 1905 at St Peter's Church, Warrington. Her name at baptism was given as Louisa Hunt Hatton, Hunt being her mother's maiden name. (No other record has been found with Hunt as part of her name.) At the time of her birth, her father was a flatman and the family lived at 39 Lythgoes Lane Warrington. ^{[3] [4]}

In 1911, Louisa (age 6) was living with her parents and 2 younger brothers at 24 Cartwright St, Warrington. ^[5]

On 26 May 1928, when she was 23, Louisa married Horace Slater at St Barnabas' Church, Warrington. At the time, her home address was given as 34 Cartwright Street. ^[6]

In 1939, Louisa was living with her husband and 2 daughters at 53 Bostock Street, Warrington.^[1] She and Horace were still living there when Horace passed away in 1968.

Lulu died on 26th August 1981 at Winwick, Warrington, Cheshire.^[7]
