Biography

Sally was born 10 Mar 1791 at Halifax, VT.^[1][2] She was the daughter of James Hatch and Esther Tucker.^[1][2]

She married Ichabod King on 27 Feb 1833.^[2] It was his second marriage and he brought with him his six surviving children, ranging in age from 25 to 10, although the older children had likely emancipated by then.

She passed away 30 Jun 1885 at Jacksonville, VT.^[1][2] She is buried in the Taylor-Stacy Cemetery in her native Halifax, VT.^[1]

Research Notes

A discrepansy appears to exist in regards to the exact date of death, with Find a Grave reporting that the grave marker states 30 Jun 1885,^[1] but Whitingham, Windham, Vermont town records listing the date as 22 Jun 1885.^[3]
