Thank you for your information on Bishop-16002 which I put to good use! I detached him from Isaac Bishop and Rebecca Hallock, and linked him to new profiles for Lemuel Bishop and Mary Conklin. (relying on Long Island Surnames). I have dozens of Conklins marrying into my Davis roots in Suffolk (along with Hallock, Hawkins, Parshall, Wickes, Miller, Robbins, Woodhull, Terry, etc... - probably all names familiar to you in your research as well). We are related, then, somewhat distantly, through the Suffolk, NY "Conklin Family" line: Elkanah Conklin (1737-1787), his daughter Mary married Goldsmith Davis (1756-1825). I thnk that is the earliest connection.
I am a direct descendant of Fulke Davis who was early in Suffolk. Goldsmith is also descended from Fulke.
Thanks again!
Just wanted to thank you for introducing me to the McQuesten family of Hamilton. I've added a few profiles and sources and am looking forward to visiting their house once the quarantine is lifted.
