Obituary
Lennie Darold Hassler, 58, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on April 15, 2010 while vacationing abroad.
Born in Burlington, Washington on October 8, 1951 to Darold Joseph Hassler and Doris Irene Gilbert, Lennie and his three siblings were raised in Oak Harbor until 1972 when they moved to Sedro Woolley. He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1970 and joined the Air Force soon thereafter. He served at McChord Air Force Base and was stationed overseas during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1977.
After serving in the Air Force he went to work in Conway at Glass Fab and then in LaConner Machine and Dry Dock. Then, after returning to school, he went to work for the United States Postal Service in 1984 and retired on October 31, 2009 from that career he enjoyed.
Lennie married Sherry Lee on Feb. 25, 1978. They raised 5 children together: David Lee, Josh Lee, Jason Lee (Dawn), Dana Fish (Steve) & Kerry Myers (Bill). He had 11 grandchildren: J.D. Lee, Christopher Fish, Harley Lee, Elizabeth Fish, Tyler Texiera, Alieshia Fish, Elliott Myers, Raegan Lee, Jenessa Fish, Kendall Lee, and Lauralie Fish.
He was a long time member of Bethel Assembly Of God in Sedro-Woolley and a member of the Sedro- Woolley Eagles.
Lennie was preceded in death by both of his parents, Mother Doris on July 5, 1989 and Father Darold ("Skinny") on April, 8, 2010.
Lennie is survived by siblings Peggy Anderson (Dallas) of Oak Harbor, Monty Hassler (Debbie) of Oak Harbor, and Brenda Belisle (Howard) of Sedro Woolley.
Lennie loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them to and from various activities and just playing with them on the floor.
His servant's heart in helping his children with their projects will always be cherished.
Services will be held at Northern Peaks Christian Fellowship in Sedro-Woolley.

Lennie Darold Hassler was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor.
He will be greatly missed by many.
