Biography

Minnie Hassler was born on November 02, 1903 in Underwood, North Dakota. Her parents were Charles Hassler and Rosalia Langer.

She married George Stadick on June 14, 1921. Together they had 5 children:

  2. Harold Stadick
  3. Eugene Stadick
  4. Duane Stadick
  5. Marlene Stadick

She died on November 02, 1998 in Underwood.

Obituary

UNDERWOOD -- Minnie Stadick, 95, Underwood, died Nov. 2, 1998, in the Underwood nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church, Underwood, with the Rev. James Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. today, at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood, and after 7 p.m. at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the church tonight.

Minnie Martha Hassler was born Nov. 2, 1903, at Underwood, to Charles and Rosalia (Langer) Hassler. She grew up on her parents' farm west of Underwood where she attended rural school. As a young woman, she helped her parents on the farm. She married George N. Stadick on June 14, 1921, at Bismarck. They lived and farmed 5[1/2] miles northeast of Underwood, and in 1948, they moved into Underwood, but continued to farm until 1962. George died on March 18, 1986. Minnie continued to make her home in Underwood where she was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Underwood Senior Citizens and the St. Ann's Altar Society. She became a resident of the Prairieview Nursing Home on Oct. 26, 1994. She loved her family and enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, dancing, visiting, baking and entertaining.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Brown, Mandan; three sons and four daughters-in-law, Harold and Louise, Seattle, Wash., Eugene and Marie, St. Stephen, Minn., Duane and Irene, West Fargo, and Ruby Stadick, Bismarck; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Donald Stadick; one son-in-law, Donavon Brown; and five brothers and five sisters. (Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood)
