Biography

Myrtle was born in 1907 to William and Amelia (Young) Hassler. She worked in a clothing store for children and did sewing and alterations. She met Orland Covert in Canton, Ohio and they married. Their first child, Donna Faye died from a congenital heart defect. See is buried with her maternal grandparents at West Lawn Cemetery. Their second child Darleen Mae Covert lived to the age of 89 and never married. As she was growing up, her mother Myrtle made all of her clothes including prom dresses. Myrtle died from cancer in 1950 and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, Ohio.
