Biography

George Edgar Hasler was born in 1863 in Erith, Kent, England to Charles Hasler and Sarah (Wright) Hasler. His birth was registered in Dartford, Kent in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Wright.^[1]

In 1871 George Edgar Hasler (age 7, Scholar) lived in Greenwich, London with his father Charles (38, Sergeant), mother Sarah (36), and six siblings: Charles William (16), Thomas Wright (14, Errand Boy), Mary Ann (13, Scholar), Annie Maria (10, Scholar), Flora Elizabeth (4, Scholar), and Allie Maude (1).^[2]

In 1881 George E Hasler (age 17, Apprentice Draper) lived at New Cut in Lambeth, London in the household of his employer Henry Hardell (Draper).^[3]

George Edgar Hasler (age 24, son of Charles Hasler) married Susie Sleight (age 23, daughter of William Sleight) on 25 Sep 1887 at St Marks in Kennington, Surrey.^[4] The marriage was registered in Lambeth, London in the third quarter of the year.^[5]
