George Edgar Hasler was born in 1863 in Erith, Kent, England to Charles Hasler and Sarah (Wright) Hasler. His birth was registered in Dartford, Kent in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Wright.[1]
In 1871 George Edgar Hasler (age 7, Scholar) lived in Greenwich, London with his father Charles (38, Sergeant), mother Sarah (36), and six siblings: Charles William (16), Thomas Wright (14, Errand Boy), Mary Ann (13, Scholar), Annie Maria (10, Scholar), Flora Elizabeth (4, Scholar), and Allie Maude (1).[2]
In 1881 George E Hasler (age 17, Apprentice Draper) lived at New Cut in Lambeth, London in the household of his employer Henry Hardell (Draper).[3]
George Edgar Hasler (age 24, son of Charles Hasler) married Susie Sleight (age 23, daughter of William Sleight) on 25 Sep 1887 at St Marks in Kennington, Surrey.[4] The marriage was registered in Lambeth, London in the third quarter of the year.[5]
George and Susannah had eight children: Ethel Florence Hasler (1889-), Elsie Irene (Hasler) Dimsdale (1891-1977), Valentine George Hasler (1894-1964), Dorothy May (Hasler) Billenness (1896-2002), Edith Gwendoline Hasler (1899-), Reginald Charles Kenneth Hasler (1904-1953), Ronald Victor Gordon Hasler (1906-1978), and Jack Douglas Hasler (1910-1976).
In 1891 George Edgar Haslar (age 27, Drapers Shop Walker) lived at Lisburn Road in Hampstead, London with his wife Susie (26) and daughter Ethel Florence (1).[6]
George Edgar Hasler was on the London Electoral Register for 1893 - he resided at 26 Lisburne-road in Belsize Ward Polling District, Borough of Hampstead[7]
In 1901 George E Hasler (age 37, Draper) lived at Hazeldean Road in Willesden, Middlesex with his wife Susie (36) and five children: Ethel F (11), Elsie J (9), Valentine G (7), Dorothy M (4), and Edith G (2).[8]
In 1911 George Edgar Hasler (age 47, Draper's Buyer) lived in Lewisham, London with his wife Susie (46) and eight children: Ethel (21, Shop Assistant), Elsie (19, Waitress), Valentine (16, Clerk), Dorothy (14, Domestic), Gwendoline (12, School), Reginald (7), Ronald (7[5]), and Jack (7[1]).[9]
George E Hasler passed away in 1914, aged 50 years. His death was registered in Pancras, London in the second quarter of the year.[10]
