Hi Emily,

Please cite sources when you make connections that appear to make no sense, as you recently did with Josiah Henry Martin (abt.1770-1820). How can you support the claims that this nearly anonymous man was a son of a governor, that his middle name was Henry, and that he had a daughter whose maiden name was Holland?

I suppose I shouldn't have but DNA lead me to that conclusion.

I would love to know more about this DNA evidence. I don't think you are talking about Y-DNA, are you? Please let me know. I have done extensive research on these Martins in Botetourt, but I have not yet been able to find a Y-DNA candidate...

Thanks, David

Hi & thank you for joining the Virginia Project.

You will need to add the Virginia tag to your profile. To do so, just go to the top left of your Profile where is shows what you are following and click "Following". Then add Virginia.

We have two google groups - one for discussion (https://groups.google.com/g/wtvirginiadiscuss) and one for managed profiles (https://groups.google.com/g/wtvirginia). Send a join request if you'd like to join either or both (include your WikiTree ID so we know it's you and use the email account you use for Wikitree.)

When you get a chance, please add your info on the Virginia Team page (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Virginia_Team). Just click "edit" on this page and add your "Wiki Link", a colon, and then why you wanted to join, or your Virginia family information. Just look at what others have written and you can get an idea of what to write :)

If you haven't already looked it over, Virginia Project (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Virginia) is the main project page and has lots more information.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Sjana, Virginia Project Coordinator

Emily I added you as trusted to Wood County, Texas. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Wood_County%2C_Texas. Hope you have some great new stuff to add.

With these space pages, be sure to Save your additions frequently, so you do not lose them. This comes from someone who has lost a bit and had to rewrite..
