Biography

Jacob Tally Harper was born in Missouri, probably in Hickory County, on 28 Feb 1835, the son of John Moore Harper and Nancy Wiliams.[1] After his father died in 1839, his widowed mother worked their farm in Hickory County, Missouri until Jacob's older brother, John, could take over, as he did by 1850.[2]

Jacob Tally Harper died on 4 Sep 1892, and was buried in the Harper Cemetery in Hickory County, Missouri.[3]
