Accident Near Azalea Fatal to Log Bucker
Julius Lee Harold, 30, employed as a bucker by the Mountain Side Logging Company at Azalea was killed in a woods accident Tuesday afternoon, County Coroner H S Sterns related today.
Details of the death were not available. The body was removed to Sterns Mortuary at Glendale, where funeral arrangements will be announced later. Stearns said Harold recently came to Azalea from Sweet Home.
Logger Crushed by Log
Roseburg - Authorities Thursday said Julius Lee Harold, Sweet Home, logger, was killed at work near the Starveout Canyon site of the Mountain side Logging Company. He was crushed by a rolling log.
Harold Funeral At Sweet Home
Funeral services will be held at the Howe Funeral Home at Sweet Home Friday morning at 10am for Julius Lee Harold, former Salem resident, killed in a logging accident near Roseburg Tuesday afternoon. Graveside services will follow Friday afternoon at Belcrest Memorial Park here.
Harold at the time of his death made his home at Sweet home, was born in Salem, February 5, 1919, the son of Mr and Mrs O H Harold, until six years ago he made his home in Salem.
During the last war, Harold saw service with the U S Navy.
Surviving are his wife Gertrude I Harold, three daughters, Judith, Glenda and Susan Harold all of Sweet Home, parents, Mrs and Mrs O H Harold of Salem, two sisters, rs G E Logsdon of Sweet Home and Mrs Heston Gross of Cathlamet, Washington, a brother, Herbert Harold of Salem, a step-sister and two step-brothers.
