Biography

Michael Harner was an anthropologist, educator and author. He wrote the book, The Way of the Shaman: a Guide to Power and Healing, and founded the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. [1]

In the 1930 US Census, he is noted as under a year old. [2]

In the 1940 US Census, he is noted as 11 years old, living in Saint Joseph, St. Joseph, Berrien, Michigan Territory, United States. [3]

Michael served in the New York Guard in 1947. [4]

He married Sandra F Dickey in 1966.[5]

He died in 2018.
