Levi was born in 1745. He was the son of Eliphaz Harlow and Hopestill Babbit.[1]
He married Silence Cobb about 1770.[1] Their children included Clara (Clarissa) (1771-1850), Levi, Jr. (1774-1848), Silence (1775-1864), David (1782-1813), Barnum (1778-1859), Ebenezer, Simeon (1780-1859), Lewis (1792-1865), William (1786-1873), Hopestill Harlow Fling (1788-1865), Lucy Harlow (1795-1872), Leonard (1796-1867), and Elias (1798-1867).[10][1]

Levi moved his family in the winter of 1783-84 on ox sled from Taunton, Massachusetts to Springfield where they settled on Parker Hill. He soon exchanged farms with a man named McIntyre for a farm a bit to the north now called the Harlow Farm.[2]

Levi passed away in 30 Jan 1832 in Springfield. He is buried in the Parker Hill Cemetery there.[1][13][8]
