Ziba Harding, son of Thomas and Nancy (Rosengrant) Harding, was born about 1846 in Pennsylvania. He appeared on the census of 18 Sep. 1850 in the home of his parents at Eaton, Wyoming, Pennsylvania.[1] He appeared on the census of 16 Aug. 1860 in the home of his parents at Forkston, Wyoming, Pennsylvania.[2]
He enlisted as a private in Co. E, 203rd Regt. PA Volunteers on 5 September 1864. He was severely wounded at Fort Fisher, North Carolina, on 15 January 1865, and died on Long Island, New York. He was buried at Cypress Hills National Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings County (Brooklyn), New York. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and information on his military service.[3]
