Biography

I have been doing research on my family since 1993. I exchanged info with many cousins before the internet was a thing. I am interested in every surname in my family as well as my husband's family.

I had a website on rootsweb for many years before they merged with ancestry.com and took everything down called Hardcastle Kerr Kinfolks. So now I am trying to put things on wikitree.com.

Hi, Back in August of 2023 I requested that you add me to the trusted list for Jacob Barnes-21700 and Michael Barnes-21699, so that I may be notified of any needed corrections or changes. I will resubmit that request. Please approve.
Hi K,

i'm currently doing some corrections on category errors with personal categories. Your personal categories are on the error list as the WT ID does not match your profile ID, maybe because your profile was merged?

Could you create a new personal category for ID Hardcastle-1077, and then I am happy to re-name the sub-categories to your new ID.

Many thanks for your help, regards Margaret, Categorization Project volunteer

Hi Margaret

Thanks so much for checking on this. Can you tell me what you mean by renaming them? Do you mean that any instance where I put Hardcastle-229 you can just change it to Hardcastle-1077? It has been bothering me but I didn't know what to do. I wish I had never changed my profile by accident. I will work on the personal category now. Kelly

Thanks Kelly for doing the new personal category, now can I get you to remove all the Hardcastle-229 categories from your profile, then I'll do the renaming and let you know when done and you can add your profile back to the new categories.

Thanks, Margaret :)

That wont delete the connections to the rest of the categories?  :\

No it's OK, i just can't delete the old ones with them being on any private privacy pages (like your profile). the new ones will be linked up to your new personal category. I've done one so far, see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Hardcastle-1077

The one sub-category has quite a few sub-categories of it's own, that will take the longest.

Margaret

Curious as to why you removed the parents of Benjamin Adams (Adams-18123). Both parents show him as their son. Thank you.

It looks like your Kerrs are also related not only to me by Adelmanns, but also to my kids' side through Chews!

Hi Kelly,

The reason I have so many DNA tests listed is that so many of my family members have tested, cousins, aunts, etc

And yes I added their DNA information to their profiles which I manage. That makes it appear automatically on mine Kitty
