Biography

Margaret Hannan was born in 1857 in Sandhurst, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Robert Hannan and Marion (McSwine) Hannan.^[1]

She travelled from Victoria, Australia to London, England on board the vessal Suffolk, departing in April 1862. ^[2]

In the 1871 census Margaret (age 13), Farmers Wife Daur, was the daur (daughter) of Robert Hannan in Blinkbonny, Haddington, East Lothian.^[3]

She married John Todd on 11 December 1879 in Haddington, Haddingtonshire, Scotland, She was a domestic servant living at Blinkbonny, Haddington.^[4] They had 2 children.
