Albert was born in 1750. Albert Hankins was born at Germantown, Monmouth, N. J. (North of Georgetown, N. J.).. At 30 yrs of age, he married an older woman, Sarah Emmons and they had 5 children. He died during the War of 1812 at 62. Sarah remarried and lived to be 100 yrs. of age.

This Albert actually served in the Revolutionary War under the command of Capt. John Cook on the Delaware River War Slips, circa 1775. See DAR #A203527.
Early "Hankins Arrivals" were Quakers. They later became affiliated with the Methodist Church where they are to this day.
