Biography

Sarah Handlin, was born in 1922 in New York City. She went to Brooklyn College and did graduate work at Harvard. She gained an MA in Economics and went to work at the at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC in 1947. She married my Father, Samuel Milner in 1948 in New York City. My Mother worked for the Monetary Fund until 1968. My parents had two children, Eve (born 1952) and me, (born 1956). In 1970, my Mom began work as an Economist at the Organization of American States. In 1976, she became OAS Desk Officer for Barbados, West Indies. She retired to Washington,
