Thank you for completing the merge of the two Henry Sill profiles.
As you may have realised, I owe you an apology. I got rather too focussed on the research yesterday and lost sight of the fact that there was a profile manager for Elizabeth (Sill) Gregson (abt.1801-1869), as a result of which I detached Henry Sill and Elizabeth Towers as her parents without first consulting you as PM. Not only that, but I now realise she is your direct ancestor. I’m sorry.
In researching a previous merge proposal I had found evidence that this couple were the parents of Elizabeth (Sill) Brooke, and that your ancestor was baptised as Betty Sill, daughter of Edward and Margaret, in Lancaster. This is where she married and where all her census returns (some of which name her as Betty) say she was born.
I’ve added a note to her profile this morning with what I believe is her parents’ marriage. The transcription on Freereg.co.uk says Edward Sill was a cordwainer, and I think there are probably other records for this family (in Lancaster) on both freereg and familysearch.
If you want to discuss or question any of this, please do get in touch.

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like the England Project would be a good fit with the profiles you entered. Adding the tag England will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Mark, I noted that you have obtained a Y-111 DNA test from FamilyTreeDNA. I have done the Y-67 test with them and was curious whether you felt the additional level of testing was worth it as far as genealogical results so far? Thanks.
Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".
Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.
Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

Isabella's maiden name was Shaw. I have not found a marriage record, but have derived the surname from the birth registations of her children.
Could you please amend her Last Name at Birth or add me to her Trusted List so I can make the change myself.
Thanks Steve

Mary's maiden name was Bullen, as per the sources on her profile

Mary is currently recorded with the maiden name of Cook, but this was her married name.
Her maiden name was Eastham. There is a marriage record on file and the birth registrations of her children Reuben and James show her maiden name.
Could you please amend her Last Name at Birth or add me to her Trusted List so I can make the change myself.
Thanks Steve
I have been working on the profile of Ann Wallwork.
Her maiden name was Ashworth (see her biography for sources).
Can you please change her Last Name at Birth accordingly or add me to her Trusted List so I can make the change?
Thank Steve

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
