In an edit you made last year to the biography of Pieternelle Du Pre, you added the words In family documentation pedigree of hatfields kit is listed "dePre".
That's interesting information, but I don't think I understand what it means. I'm hoping you can clarify. Who or what is "hatfields kit"? What documentation were you referring to?
Thanks! (For what it's worth, dePre is listed on the profile among the "other last names.")
You asked if any Hamiltons had returned the I2a haplogroup result and yes there have been many. Follow this link and look for example at Group K (there are others). <http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/g/a/gah4/HamDNA/IGrps.html> By now there should be more recent SNPs you can test for that will better clarify your haplogroup. Check the YSEQ site or FTDNA for more targeted SNPs. If you are in Group K for example L1294 and L1425 are available for testing. John Hunter
I see you uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a WikiTree project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? You will find it and WikiTree's other interesting projects by using the FIND link top right of most WikiTree pages, select PROJECTS from the drop down box. WikiTree's DNA project has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
You might also like to read the discussions tagged with DNA in the G2G forum.
Happy WikiTreeing
