Silas Hamilton m. 1756 Elizabeth Knapp.
Silas Hamilton (1727-1790) was a member of Committees of Danbury, Conn., where he was born and died.
Mrs. Myrtle W. Jillson, genealogist of the Ballous Famiily, says in an old family Bible she finds "Elizabeth Knapp m. Capt. Silas Hamilton". Her work can be seen in An Elaborate History and Genealogy of the Ballous in America (1888) and supplements, but it makes no reference to this bible.
