The funeral of Joseph Halliday, the
only son of. Mr.Gordon Halliday. a
member of the New South Wales Work
ers' Compensation Commission, will take
place this afternoon from the home of
the grandfather at Union-street Junc
tion. The interment will be made at Sand
gate •
The boy was a native of Newcastle, and
began his schooling at the Junction, fol
lowing his studies with considerable suc
cess at the schools in the metropolis, on
the remorval of his parents to Sydney. He
was a pupil at the Newcastle High School,
and the news of his death aroused wide
spread sympathy,.
