Margaret (Halliday) Rea was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Margaret was born on 28 Mar 1863 in Ballarat East, Victoria. She was the daughter of John Halliday and Margaret Watt. ^[1]

Margaret married Nichols Thomas Walton on February 10, 1886 in Hobart, Tasmania.^[2] Margaret was divorced from Thomas Nichols Walton in 1892 in Victoria, Australia.^[3] The divorce petition describes how they married in Tasmania but intended to live in Victoria; he was a ship steward and deserted her.

She later married William Alexander Rea.^[4]

Their children included Doris Ellen Rea.^[5]

Margaret, child of John Travis, died in 1938 in Petersham, New South Wales.^[6]
