Biography
John was born about 1870. He was the son of John Halliday and Henrietta Dickie. His parents and two sisters (Mary and Marion) emigrated to New Zealand aboard the vessel "Victoria". The "Victoria" sailed from England on 5 December 1861 and arrived into Lyttelton on 30 March 1862. John was born after his parent's arrival into New Zealand.
He married Annie Craig in 1892.
John passed away about 1922, aged 52.
