Biography
Hedley was born in Bermuda in 1864. His second cousin, Prof. Alfred D. Smith was one of the witnesses to his marriage to Sophie Weldon. Their parents were not named in the register. He worked as a bookkeeper for the NB Liquor Commission and lived at 220 Carleton Street in Fredericton. He retired in 1942 in his late 70s.
