James Hallett is an Anzac who served in World War One.

Biography
James was born in 1894. He was the son of Joseph Hallett and Edith Whebby.
When the 1st World War broke out James was working as a Shepherd. He enlisted and served as a Private in the 13th Reinforcements, J Company, New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
EMBARKATION DETAILS WW1 27 May 1916-27 July 1916 from Wellington, New Zealand to Devonport, Devon, England HMNZT 55. Vessel was Tofua.
His father passed away on Christmas Eve 1916.
Tragically James was killed in action on 8 June 1917. He was 23 years of age. He is memorialised on his parents' headstone in Waipukurau , Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
