Biography

William Hall's origins are uncertain. This biography has an estimated date of birth 1675 in Salem, New Jersey, but this is not yet proven. Did he immigrate or was he born there?

William Hall the Carpenter, of Salem,[1] Salem, New Jersey, married Sarah Bradway, daughter of Edward Bradway and his wife Mary, on the 4th month 26 day of 1694.[2]

Children

William Hall's will was proved 28 May 1728.[3] His will names his children: Daniel, John Samuel, Sarah Rowland, Mary and Hannnah.[3] It does not name his wife Sarah, who is presumed to have died before William.

Research Notes

Note that Biographical, Genealogical and Descriptive History of the First Congressional District[4] incorrectly has William Hall the carpenter married to Elizabeth Pile (wife of the prominent landowner).
