William Hall was born on 24 Mar 1786 in Wilkes, Georgia to parents Edward H Hall (1758-1838) and Rachel (Barnes) Hall (abt.1759-abt.1838).[1]
Four siblings were: Ranson Hall, Sarah (Hall) Miller (abt.1793-1847), John Hall (1793-1861), and Reason Bowie Hall.[1]
Their seven children appear to be: Temperence Hall Kindle Cartright Potter Darnell, John Wesley Hall, Greenberry W Hall, Edward H Hall, Sylvia (Hall) Horn (abt.1813-abt.1890), Rachel Hall Munson, Elizabeth Hall.[1]
On 21 May 1832, William and his wife, Mary Jane Rebecca Williams, lost their lives in a savage manner during the Indian Creek Massacre in LaSalle County, Illinois. Their daughters Sylvia (Hall) Horn (abt.1813-abt.1890) and Rachel were kidnapped and later returned to Illinois after Indian "negotiations".[1]
William and his wife, Mary Jane were buried with others who lost their lives during the massacre, all memorialized at the Shabbona County Park Burials in Earlville, LaSalle, Illinois.[1]
