The Great War Lieutenant Commander of the US Navy WWII Annapolis Graduate, The Great War Appointee
Kenneth Ross Hall was born in Oswego, New York, USA Sep 5, 1898 to De Leon Frederich Hall and Ida M. Wilde.[1]
They lived in 3rd ward, 3 precinct, Bayonne, Hudson, New Jersey when he was 6 in 1905 where dad was a lawyer.[2]
By 1910, they were living in Yonkers ward 8, Westchester, NY, on Lawrence St. De Leon L, Ida M, Mary Jessie, Kenneth Ross, Ethel J formed the family. Dad was in a lawyer in the wholesale businesses.[3]
By 1920, Kenneth was a midshipman in the US Navy. The family was on Cornell Ave, Yonkers ward 8, Westchester, NY. There were five children in the house. Dad was an accountant in a glove house. Jessie was a clerk in shipping business.[4]
Kenneth Ross Hall entered the Naval Academy Annapolis, Marilyn 26 Jul 1917 and graduated 12 May 1921. He was appointed from New York. He was living at 16 Cornell Ave, Yonkers, NY. His appointment rank in the Great War was midshipman 26 July 2017. He was promoted to Ensign 3 Jun 1921.[5]
He arrived from San Francisco, CA on the ship Matsonia to live in the Kingdom of Hawaii on 25 Jan 1927.[6]
On 1 Jan 1924, Hall was registered as a rank Lieutenant junior grade on the Toucey.[7]
Kenneth married Alice Jane Jones on 23 Nov 1923 in Oswego, NY.[8][9]
They had two daughters, one name after each parent.

When they returned to the USA, they returned with Alice Jane born in born in Hawaii.[11]
He was stationed in the Navy Yard Mare Island Naval, Vallejo, Solano, CA. They lived a 6 Fifth St. Betty 3, Alice 2, Mom was 32 and the dad was 31. They were renting for $80 a month. The did not own a radio yet![12] Dad was a veteran of the Great War.
Daughter Betty said they lived in countries all over Asia. They also lived in Guam[13], New Orleans, and San Diego, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.[14][15]
The family moved to Apopka from Cuba after the Japanese strafed Pearl Harbor in 1942[16]. In 1945, Betty graduated from Apopka Memorial High School (named in honor of the Apopka men and friends of her soon to be husband lost in World War II).
LT CMDR continued to serve through the war.
In 1950, Kenneth, 50, was working 48 hours a week at a orange canning plant as an operator processor. Alice, 51, was in the house. She had completed 12 years of school. Jane, 22, was working as a laboratory technician at a diagnostic laboratory 50 hours a week. They lived at 391 Dream Lake, Apopka, FL.[17]
Kenneth hall died 22 Jun 1976.
He is buried with wife and daughters in Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka, Orange, Florida, USA.
