Cornelia Ann (Haley) Ingram 1929 - 2014

Cornelia Ann (Haley) Ingram, was born July 27, 1929, as "Nealie Ann Haley", in Bly, Oregon, in the back of her parents' shoe shop. She went to grade school in Bly, Oregon, and the family moved to Hugo, Oregon where she continued grade school, until the end of her 8th grade. The family moved to Crawfordsville, Oregon in 1942 and she went to, and graduated from Sweet Home High School. While in high school she worked summers as a cook and housekeeper for "Thompsons Feed & Grain Mill" in Scio, Oregon. Upon graduating high school, she moved to Portland, Oregon in 1947 and enrolled in Cascade College, then enrolled in nurses training. While at Cascade College, she met Lowell C. Ingram in June 1949. Connie was very talented as a seamstress and worked sewing for the "elite" in Portland, putting Lowell through college to become a teacher. Connie loved music, sang in and directed children's choirs and played piano and organ for enjoyment and church services. Connie and Lowell moved to Springfield, Oregon in 1966. Lowell was a teacher at Briggs Middle School, while she became an Administrative Assistant in Sociology and Geology at the University or Oregon until 1985. Lowell passed away in 1985. Connie passed her exams and became a Realtor, at Valley River Realty. Connie retired from the University of Oregon and became an employee at a unique gift shop in Gateway Shopping Center in Springfield. She was an excellent employee, selling beautiful gifts, and loved to shop for her family and friends. In 1989, Connie married Lowell's twin brother, Loren. Connie and Loren, both then retired, and loved to travel.

She is survived by daughter Teresa Ingram of Eugene, grandsons Christopher Ingram of Springfield, and Riley Crowder of Salem, Oregon. Sister Esther Harms of Coos Bay, brothers Dwight and Darrel Haley of Lebanon, Oregon. She was preceded in death by Loren in 2013, her son Lloyd in 2010 and siblings Bill Haley Jr., Bud Haley, Freda Helmers, Melvern Haley, and parents William and Mabel Haley.

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 1:00 pm at Buell Funeral Chapel, Springfield.
