Biography

Isaac H. Haines was born on 5 November 1805 in New Jersey to Jonathan Haines and Mary Haines. [1]

Isaac was married twice.

Isaac married Eleanor Page, daughter of William Page, MD and Agnes Hollinghead, on 14 February 1828 in Burlington County, New Jersey.[2][3]

William and Eleanor had the following children:

  1. Agness H. Haines b 1836, New Jersey[4]
  2. Anna S. Haines b 1838 New Jersey [4] m George M. Lippincott
  3. William H. Haines b 1840 New Jersey [4] m Mary P. Wright

Isaac married second, Rachel Evens, on 14 November 1844 at the Cropwell Meeting (Marlton), under care of the Upper Evesham Monthly Meeting, New Jersey.[5]

William and Rachel had the following daughter:

  1. Hetty E. Haines b 1850 New Jersey[4]

At the time of his mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Snowden) Evens' death in April 1858, Isaac and Rachel lived near Medford, New Jersey.[6]

In 1860, Isaac and Rachel were living in the township of Medford, Burlington, New Jersey, United States. Also living with them were William's daughters Agness, age 24 and Anna, age 22 and his son, William age 20. Isaac and Rachel were raising their daughter, Hetty. There were a few more unrelated people enumerated in the household: Mary J. Brady, age 15, Elizabeth Ward, age 13, Joseph Brooks, age 50 and John W. Jones, age 16.[4]

Isaac passed away on 30 May 1874 in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA[7]
