Phebe was a Friend (Quaker)

Phebe was born about 1718 (estimate based on date of marriage), probably in Flushing, Queens, New York Colony.^[1] She was the daughter of Nicholas Haight and Patience (Titus) Haight.^[2]

She married Jonathan Holmes on 8d 9m 1739 [8 Nov 1739] at the Flushing monthly meeting.^[1]

Her husband was granted a certificate to the Mamaroneck (Purchase) monthly meeting on 6d 5m 1743 [6 Jul 1743].^[3]

The couple were noted as members of the Oblong monthly meeting, residing in Nine Partners, in 1760.^[4]
